One of my favorite smaller towns in Colorado is Glenwood Springs. There is just something about the Western Slope of Colorado that still retains it’s rustic charm, removed from the hustle and bustle of big-city life. Glenwood Springs offers a more relaxed lifestyle, a slower pace, but still offering big-city amenities and services.
We’ve listed all of the licensed assisted living facilities in Glenwood Springs on this page – all of which may be contacted directly and safely (quite unlike many other senior care sites). We also offer trusted ways for you to get additional help, or to ask a question.
A great place to bookmark if you are a senior, caregiver, or family member is the Garfield County Human Services site, and their Senior Programs page. Garfield County Council on Aging offers a monthly newsletter to families in Glenwood Springs and the surrounding area detailing upcoming events, Silver Sneakers classes, as well as services, volunteer programs, and even housing information.

**One of the things that is very personal and important to individuals considering assisted living is facility size. Some seniors prefer smaller, more intimate environments where they are likely to know each and every residents, and where they will likely know the staff on a more personal level.
Other seniors may be more comfortable in a larger, more corporate-feeling environment, where there may be more levels of care, and perhaps a wider range of services and amenities. It’s all a very personal decision, but it is an important choice and consideration.
We (Assisted Living Directory) interviewed a facility administrator and asked him his view on the benefits of smaller, more residential homes. His answer can be seen in the following short video clip:
Many of you researching assisted living in Glenwood Springs may be from here, or familiar with the area. Others may be trying to conduct research from out of town, or state.
Either way, sorting through the options, costs, paperwork and contacting each facility for information can be challenging.
