Wow - West Hartford has a thriving and growing senior population! Over seventeen percent of West Hartford is over the age of 65 - so we were very delighted to see that there is more than adequate representation for them in terms of city services, and assisted living.

We found several assisted living facilities - several fairly large ones by Brookdale and Atria, and many of the serve Alzheimer's and Dementia residents. We've listed most of the assisted living facilities in West Hartford on this page.

There is one - The McAuley that we found a website for, but it didn't load for us. Hopefully it's a temporary thing! It looks as if, perhaps they are now managed by Mercy Community Health in West Hartford, since they are listed on their site too. If we find out anything new about this, we'll make the adjustment.

The City of West Hartford has 2 senior activity centers that we could find information on - each offering recreational activities, social service, and preventative health services to local senior citizens in West Hartford.
