This section of Assisted Living Directory is intended to provide a starting point for your senior care facility research in Hartford.
Thanks in part to the Older American’s Act of 1965, seniors nationwide have access to services and support provided through a local Area Agency on Aging. For Hartford, this would be the North Central Area Agency on Aging.
Interestingly, many seniors and families are not aware of what an Agency on Aging can do for them, or the services they often provide. These agencies can be an excellent first-stop for any family who is faced with any number of challenges regarding caregiving, eldercare, or senior health. Services often include transportation; in-home care assistance; information and referral; meal delivery; housing assistance and consultation, and much more.
Agencies on Aging may be especially helpful to those seniors and families who are low-income, or who are seeking assistance or guidance on paying for senior care, or learning about Connecticut waiver programs, or possible benefits or assistance through other means.
We highlight great research tool that has an interactive map, and will identify Subsidized facilities, including those that accept Medicaid, Medicare and Connecticut Home Care Program.
