Torrance, California is one of those cities that lives in the shadow of larger Los Angeles - but we felt it was big enough, and of it's own merit to break out into it's own page for assisted living facilities.

We were surprised that Torrance has over 100,000 people, and a fairly large percentage being over the age of 65! In addition, we found a number of excellent assisted living facilities in the Torrance area to list on this page.

The City of Torrance also provides some excellent senior programs to it's elder residents. They actually have a "Young Seniors Program" that is available to anyone over 50, with an annual fee of only $5. Members receive a monthly newsletter outlining activities and events that they are eligible for. The City of Torrance also offers unique activities like shuffleboard, discussion groups, ceramics workshops and much more.

Torrance also has a good handful of senior citizens centers that provide various programs and services, and social opportunities for seniors in Torrance.
