Assisted Living Tidbits:

Kansas City, for being the third largest city in the State of Kansas, has fewer assisted living facilities, and senior services than I had expected.

The first thing I did during my research was to go to the agingkansas.org website to see what facilities they had listed there, and I found only two.

Then, I tried searching for the official "KC" city website, and although I did not find a site specific to the city, I did find out that the "Official" website for the city is also merged with the official county website too - wycokck.org.

This site doesn't have a whole lot that I found specific for seniors (usually city websites list their senior services, which are often times numerous). I did find information for the local Agency on Aging (info to the left on this page) - which seems to act for the entire counties of Wyandotte and Leavenworth to plan, coordinate and advocate programs for citizens age 60 and over.

I also found the 311 Service, which is basically a 3-1-1 Call Center to help citizens connect with a live person to find out more about city/senior services in Wyandotte County/Kansas City
