Assisted Living Tidbits
Great questions that we have received about Garden Hills - and assisted living that can serve as examples of the types (and thoroughness) of questions that you might consider asking potential facilities:
I am researching possible options for a husband and wife, the wife is in her late 80's, and has some dementia but is active and does well in assisted living. The husband is approaching 93 years of age, has a history of falls, limited mobility (wheelchair/walker), and dementia.
I am looking for a facility that can meet both their needs, and keep them living together. She is active and likes to socialize, and he requires more assistance, i.e., basically nursing home level of care.
Please let me know if your facilities can meet those types of needs.
How much does it cost for a senior (it would be my mom) to live in an assisted living place such as yours?
My father is currently living in independent living in another area, and is considering a move to New Jersey, but I believe needs an upgrade to at least assisted living status-I would like to know your availability and rates.
Q: My grandmother is living with me because she is unable to care for herself. We have very little family and no one can afford to pay for a nursing home and because of my own medical issues, I'm not sure how much longer I can take care of her. Is there any programs that allow for her to live in assisted living such as Garden Hills Residence that would be covered by her monthly Social Security Check ($969)? - Melissa
Q: Do you take direct admit Medicaid? And do you have any memory care? - Luz
Q: Hello, My Name is Maura and I am researching assisted living facilities for a client I and working with. He would like to be near the beach and your Garden Hills facility looks perfect for him. How much does this facility cost per month? Can people have a single room? Do you have beds available. Maura
