Assisted Living Tidbits:

I was surprised that the City of Springfield didn't have more to offer in terms of Elderly and Senior services on their website - since Springfield has a relatively large population of seniors (as compared to the US national average) - as well as numerous assisted living and Alzheimer's facilities. Most cities have a senior citizens page on their official websites that list special services, programs, and assistance to local seniors. What I did find was a page that has some basic information about Springfield City Area Transit, Elderly United, and a little bit of information on Housing, but not much else. It would be great to see more information listed in the future - such as any available "Meals on Wheels" programs, classes available, a list of senior centers (if there are any) etc.
