Gwinnett County has a very complete and active senior services department to help and assisted Gwinnett County's aging and retired population. The Senior Services Department offers a wide variety of incredibly useful programs and services, which are all designed to help improve the quality of life, and to foster independence among Gwinnett County seniors.

In addition, the services provided are intended to help those who may have assumed the role of caregiver for a senior member of their family.

Among the services offered, Gwinnett County offers a Meals on Wheels program. This program is designed to help seniors who are unable to leave their home, or who are unable to make their own meals.
