My wife and I have both lived in Boulder County for over a decade. We love the area - with it's beautiful natural surroundings, sunny weather (yes - sunny! You wouldn't think it, but Longmont gets over 300 days of sunshine per year), and proximity to all things convenient and urban! Really, this area offers the best of all worlds.

From any vantage point in Longmont, you have a stunning view of Longs Peak to the west, and the rest of the Front Range mountains. About 20 miles to the southeast is Denver - where you can get your urban fix in a jiffy, if you need one. Longmont is also great in that the pace of life here seems a bit slower and more deliberate than perhaps Boulder and some of the other surrounding communities. People here like that about Longmont.

Longmont, if you are a senior, pretty much has you covered too - there are plenty of assisted living facilities and Alzheimer's care communities in Longmont. We were actually surprised by the large number and variety of choices for such a "medium sized" town. We've listed as many of them as we know of on this page!
