| Anaheim is a great place for seniors and retirees. For starters,
you can't get better weather (relatively). It is usually warm
and sunny, and is very close to great shopping, attractions,
and the beach!
It is a large city, with almost 350,000 people living here.
Amazingly, it is also ranked as being one of the safest
cities of it's size in the nation. This is also a good selling
point for any seniors thinking of calling Anaheim 'home'.
The city of Anaheim also hosts numerous senior programs.
Classes from painting, to Hatha Yoga, to Genealogy can be
taken at the Downtown Community Center. There are several
clubs as well - The Anaheim Senior Citizens Club, The Billiards
Club, and Donation Bingo are a few. You can also participate
in Friday Night Dance, Movie Day, or if you really want
to show your athletic ability, you might take part in the
Senior Olympics!
