Learn About Delaware’s Assisted Living Regulations

We believe that it is important for seniors, families, and caregivers alike to know about their state’s assisted living regulations.  At a very minimum, it’s wise to know where to be able to refer to them, if you need to.

For Delaware, this is easy to do.

The first thing you might want to know, is who the agency responsible for regulating assisted living is.  For Delaware, this title belongs to the Department of Health & Social Services, Division of Long Term Care Residents Protection.

A visit to their website provides a good deal of information, and sub-sections.   Notably, under the Services section, you’ll see an area for Licensing and Certification Process for Long Term Care.  This section has information on how to become licensed, and/or certified as a long-term care facility, including assisted living, as well as office addresses to get additional information.
