Temecula is one of those cities that we've always had on our "radar" to build a dedicated page for - we've heard about Temecula, and we know it is a fairly large city in Southern California, but we are even more excited about it now that we've done a little research about this wonderful city.

Aside from being fairly close to the ocean, Temecula is also often times surrounded by snow-capped mountains! It is a beautiful setting, and one that isn't too hindered by an overly-urban atmosphere. Of course, it's great that Temecula is close to (almost exactly equidistant) to both San Diego and Los Angeles - so you get all of those great big-city amenities. But, we think that Temecula's separation from that big-city hustle and bustle is one of it's charms.

Seniors have some great support in Temecula as well. Aside from having a lovely senior center in old town Temecula ("equipped with three pool tables, a library, classrooms. computers with Internet access, classrooms, and an auditorium with a stage"), the City of Temecula also offers a number of great things for seniors looking to keep up with their health, social lives, and learning - most of which are based out of the senior center. If you are 55 years old or more, you may take part in a number of exciting senior excursions to theaters, nearby towns (like Julian, where apple pie is king), or you may also participate in the annual health and wellness fair (usually in October).
