"Virus sickens assisted living center residents" - A story (7/06) from the Columbian.com online paper reports that residents at the Prestige Assisted Living, 7514 N.E. 13th Ave., which consists of 71 studio apartments had to transport several residents to the Vancouver, WA hospital, but it wasn't yet clear whether they were suffering from norovirus or some other intestinal bug.

Thorough hand washing remains the best way to prevent the disease, officials say. Always use warm water and plenty of soap, and rubbing the hands together vigorously for at least 20 seconds.
