Assisted Living Tidbits:
We discovered that Mission Viejo has a "Senior Community Activity Team" with the acronym S.C.A.T. - which we think is sort of humorous if you think about it.
This group is comprised of senior volunteers, who work along side the Orange County Sheriff's Department to help with a number of duties, including checking on homes that may be vacant for vacation or other reasons, clerical support, mail delivery between the city hall and outlying facilities, and help with special events and traffic control.
This is a great way to get involved, and to meet other seniors in Mission Viejo!
The number to call is (949) 470-8433
