» News Item: Great concept for assisted living - from the Minot Daily News, 11.12.07.

There was a great article today in the Minot Daily News about a new development that will offer seniors a great mix of freedom and independence with amenities and services. It's a 79 unit development in southeast Minot called "Edgewood Village" (headed up by Edgewood Development Group). Basically, the idea is for seniors to be able to live in their own homes for as long as possible. Of course, having assisted living and medical services close at hand is important as well.

The homes are furnished as a homeowner might decorate it, and there are several "community amenities" included with the design. There is a 24-seat theater, a salon, chapel, a park, fitness resources and a plan to have a walking/fitness path route through the area. There is an assisted

» 5/15/06 - Assisted Living News Article: LARIMORE, N.D.: Good Samaritan Center to add assisted living apartments - This building is slated to have 10 units available to seniors in the fall of 2007. The center currently has five assisted living apartments for seniors, which have been nearly fully occupied during the three years since they became available.and basic-care center for the residents.

Try to find out who your neighbors might be living next to you before you move in.
