Did you know? Interesting assisted living items
  • Nursing homes and assisted living facilities and residents are often subject to stereotypes that are unfair and untrue. We often picture these folks as being completely alone, suffering from mental illness, and completely unable to handle any of their personal business. However, this could not be further from the truth. In fact, only about half of all nursing home residents suffer from any sort of mental illness, and most of these folks still manage their finances, participate in an active social life, and have frequent visitors. Many assisted living facilities today are more like a resort or a bed and breakfast, with full social calendars, exercise classes, fantastic menus, and cozy accommodations.
