A small community, Cypress Court at Overland Park is divided into four separate houses all within the same building. Country Lane, Garden Path, Boathouse Cove and Cottage Place each have its own indoor porch and front door. The houses are built around a center that includes the art studio, community room, beauty shop and health center.

Each house has its own dining room, allowing for fewer distractions and providing the resident with a peaceful dining experience. In addition, Cypress Court's resident apartments are designed specifically for memory care. The small apartments lessen confusion and provide an environment that reduces the risk of falls.

Some residents thrive in the security and familiarity that the individual houses offer. Others are on the move, looking for the next adventure. For these residents, it's as simply as opening the doors to their houses and walking into the large interior courtyard. Here they can meet up with friends, search for the resident cats, go into another house to visit, or just sit in the sun on one of the indoor porches. On nice days, residents can go outside and walk the pathways, or they may chose to sit on the patio or in the gazebo just to enjoy the fresh air.

The Courtyard, Retirement & Assisted Living
The Courtyard is located in beautiful Clear Lake,IA, only a few blocks from the lake! At the Courtyard, you will enjoy a beautiful apartment, each with it's own walk out patio! Three meals per day are included in the rent, as are utilities, (except phone and cable). All apartments have spacious bathrooms with a walk in shower with seat. The commons area and full kitchen can be used by the tenants and their families and friends for any special occasions. The facility bus allows for trips to many local attractions, including the casino, as well as medical appointments. The bus is also available for shopping. Nursing staff are on duty 24 hours a day to insure a rapid response to any medical emergency. Blood pressure checks are available free of charge. Each apartment has two call stations and a Lifeline pendant is also included in the rent for added security. The entrance is secured and each tenant has mail delivered inside. Each tenant also has a large storage area close to their apartment where Christmas decorations, luggage, etc. can be stored. A beauty shop is accessible within the facility and laundry facilities are only steps away from each apartment. Each month the tenants meet with facility staff for a Tenant Focus meeting. This meeting is to assure that the tenants's needs are being met, as well as to plan trips, review food, activities, and anything else that the tenants wish to discuss.
