Assisted Living Tidbits
An important question to ask your facility is if they are able to allow residents to "Age-in-Place."
Aging-in-Place allows residents to stay in their facility throughout all stages of age, condition, or even behavioral issues. Some facilities may move residents to a hospital, or another facility if they cannot handle the resident any longer. Moving a resident can be extremely detrimental to their health and well-being. Allowing a resident to 'unconditionally' stay put allows them to become comfortable with their surroundings, and to better trust those taking care of them.
