Medication management is also offered by many residences. What is Long-Term-care insurance? This type of insurance generally covers in-home & residential services over an extended period of time. This includes nursing home services. Secondary insurance is health care insurance that is purchased privately and is intended to cover expenses not paid for by Medicare. Secondary insurance policies do not usually cover Long-Term care costs or in-home care for an extended period. If you are still mobile, and able to get around town, and don't require daily medical attention, then an assisted living facility may not be the best option for you.
