Medicaid information is usually listed under the Human Services section of your local phone book Assisted Living Tidbits It is truly astounding how quickly Anthem has gotten 'on the map.' I grew up in Arizona, and I remember making the drive from Flagstaff to Phoenix, and with few exceptions, there really wasn't much in between until you got to the outskirts of Phoenix proper (I think it is called Deer Valley). When we left Phoenix to go back up to Flagstaff, we'd often stop at Rock Springs to take a break - since that was the first real place with any sort of amenities and services. Now, as soon as you get out of Phoenix, you can quickly tell that something new is out there on the northeastern horizon. As you get closer, you begin to see many very nice and expensive homes, and a number of snazzy new shopping centers, and strip malls, many designed in a sort of desert-esque architecture to give the sense that it all blends in with the natural surroundings. Although there are schools, and families in Anthem - a fair number of seniors live here too - and assisted living facilities are starting to pop up in the area. As Anthem grows, I am betting that more seniors will be attracted to the area, and more senior care facilities will be developed! I hope Anthem doesn't grow too much. The joke used to be that with
enough time, Phoenix and Flagstaff will be connected. Not a day
to look forward to..... |
